There is an old saying that if you like your job you will never work a day in your life.
Count Dana Banta of San Marino’s Monogrammed Home among those who love their jobs. It’s a lifelong goal of Banta’s who, as long as she can remember, loved companies who offered monogrammed personalization. So much so that she made it her life’s goal. Now it is her mission to do the same for others.
“My whole goal is to make people happy,” Banta said. Banta can monogram anything pretty much anywhere, including custom logos and other corporate gifting.
“That is what I might hear more than anything, ‘Any way you can personalize it?'”
The answer seems to always be “yes.”
Some of her more popular items are monogrammed sweaters, throw blankets and baby sweaters. A recent favorite is customized, washable, insulated lunch boxes or “snack squares” that are all the rage at local school campuses.
One of her pastimes is creating tables at the Mission Street studio. She even will go to customers’ homes to look at their tables.
“I just want to help them find the right look,” Banta said. She even carries a line of custom cutting boards. The Monogrammed Home also can produce etchings and embossings to fill out their line of offerings. Custom napkins are also available and a popular item.
“My job makes me always want to throw a party!” Banta says dreamily. “San Marino is a very unique community and I find us to be a reflection of that uniqueness.”
