Titans Shut Out Wilson High School, Improve to 4-1

San Marino’s varsity football team amassed 42 points in the first half en route to a 49-0 victory over Los Angeles Wilson High School last Friday evening.

Coleman Morning connected with Sid Danenhauer on a 23-yard touchdown pass and Brady Beck was 9 for 12 at quarterback for 160 yards and tossed five touchdowns as San Marino scored early and often. Morning paced San Marino’s ground attack with 67 yards on eight carries.

Morning hurled a 70-yard touchdown pass to Nick Escamilla for the game’s signature play.

Julian Solis added 45 rushing yards on 8 carries and added another score as the Titans improved to 4-1. San Marino has a bye this Friday and will return to action on Friday, September 29 for the battle for the Crowley Cup at South Pasadena High School.

Chris Parwar caught two touchdown passes for the Titans to cap the scoring. Sophomore Christian Wing also caught two touchdown passes for San Marino.

Defensively, Liam Van Fossan paced the Titans with eight tackles, including four for losses. Clement Truong added eight tackles and Coleman Morning added nine stops, including two tackles for losses.

Mitch Mooney (7 tackles, two for losses), and Tomas Bilvado (six stops) also topped the Titans’ defense. Mooney added a sack and also recovered a fumble for the Titans, who recorded a shutout.
