For the period of Sunday, January 11, 2026 – Saturday, January 17, 2026, the Police Department responded to 629 calls for service. Zero (0) residential burglaries, zero (0) commercial burglaries, and one (1) attempted burglary occurred during the reporting week.

Helpful Tips for Preventing Home Burglaries

  • Install and use an alarm system and exterior lighting.
  • Lock all doors and windows, even when home.
  • Keep bushes and trees trimmed to eliminate hiding places.
  • Do not leave spare keys outside the home.
  • Secure sliding doors with a dowel or security bar.
  • Get to know your neighbors and report suspicious activities.
  • Stop mail and package deliveries or have them collected when away.
  • Use timers for lights to give the appearance of someone who is home.
  • Do not advertise vacations or absences on social media.
  • Always lock vehicles and remove valuables from view.

Traffic Enforcement
Traffic enforcement is guided by three (3) primary categories:

  1. Community-generated traffic complaints
  2. Officer-observed violations
  3. Analysis of traffic collision data

The Department maintains and regularly updates a comprehensive list of locations identified through traffic complaints and collision data to inform and prioritize enforcement efforts. As part of our traffic collision investigations, we also assess contributing factors that may have played a role in the incident. These factors may include distracted driving, roadway engineering, and environmental conditions.

Sunday, January 11, 2026
8:57 AM / Hit and Run / 1700 Block of San Gabriel Boulevard
Party #1 was traveling South on San Gabriel Boulevard and collided with Party #2’s parked vehicle. Party #1 fled the scene without providing the required identifying information. The primary collision factor is CVC §20002(a) – Hit and Run.

5:08 PM / Warrant Arrest / Huntington Drive / Granada Avenue
Officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. A records check revealed the driver had two (2) outstanding warrants issued by the Los Angeles Police Department and the California Highway Patrol. The driver was found to be in violation of PC §21810 – Possession of Brass Knuckles. Bryan Sean Hall (D.O.B. 11/12/1979, Los Angeles) was issued an Own Recognizance citation and released in the field without incident.


Monday, January 12, 2026
11:19 AM / Warrant Arrest / Huntington Drive / Atlantic Boulevard
Officers conducted a traffic stop for a violation of CVC §5204 – Expired Registration Tabs. A records check revealed the driver had one (1) outstanding warrant issued by the Monrovia Police Department, in violation of CVC §20002(a) – Hit and Run. Fernando Jr. Sanchez (D.O.B. 04/24/2001, Monrovia) was issued an Own Recognizance citation and released in the field without incident.

A report was taken to document a family dispute.

6:42 AM / Attempted Burglary / 2300 Block of Sherwood Road
An unknown suspect was observed on surveillance footage in the backyard of the victim’s residence. The suspect attempted to open the French doors at the front of the residence, then walked to the rear of the property, where they removed the cover on a vehicle parked in the driveway and attempted to open the passenger-side door. The suspect was last seen walking East on Sherwood Road. The suspect was described as wearing a black sweater, black pants, and black shoes, and was carrying a small handbag. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area to identify potential witnesses and recover any available security camera footage. This investigation is ongoing.

A report was taken to document a missing person who was located.

3:32 PM / Warrant Arrest / Stoneman Avenue / Huntington Drive
Officers conducted a traffic stop for a violation of CVC §5200(a) – Display of License Plates. A records check revealed the driver had one (1) outstanding warrant issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, in violation of CVC §14601.1(a) – Driving with a Suspended License. Jorge Ulises Martinez (D.O.B. 02/07/1975, Los Angeles) was issued an Own Recognizance citation and released in the field without incident.


Wednesday, January 14, 2026
9:35 AM / Arrest / Huntington Drive / San Gabriel Boulevard
Officers conducted a traffic stop for a violation of CVC §5200(a) – Display of License Plates. Upon further investigation, it was determined the driver is in violation of CVC §14601.1(a) – Driving with a Suspended License. Wladimmir Eduardo Lamar (D.O.B. 07/01/1992, Rosemead) was issued an Own Recognizance citation and released in the field without incident.

10:53 AM / Warrant Arrest / 800 Block of Huntington Drive
Officers conducted a traffic stop for a violation of CVC §26708(a)(1) – Obstructed Windshield. A records check revealed the driver had one (1) outstanding warrant issued by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, in violation of CVC §14601.1(a) – Driving on a Suspended License. Further investigation revealed the driver also had three (3) prior convictions in violation of CVC §12500(a) – Driving Without a License. Hugo Javier Zuniga (D.O.B. 05/04/1987, Los Angeles) was issued an Own Recognizance citation and released in the field without incident.

1:18 PM / Warrant Arrest / Shakespeare Drive / San Gabriel Boulevard
Officers conducted a traffic stop for a violation of CVC §5204 – Expired Registration Tabs. A records check revealed the driver had one (1) outstanding warrant issued by the California Highway Patrol. Kevin John Jr. Ojala (D.O.B. 03/10/1999, La Puente) was issued an Own Recognizance citation and released in the field without incident.

6:01 PM / Traffic Collision / Granada Avenue / Sherwood Road
Party #1 was traveling South on Granada Avenue and came to a complete stop at a posted stop sign. Party #2 was traveling South on Granada Avenue at the same time. Party #1 made a left turn and collided with Party #2. Based on the statements, faults could not be determined at the time of the investigation. The primary collision factor is CVC §21800 – Failure to Yield.


Thursday, January 15, 2026
3:32 PM / Financial Fraud / 2600 Block of Lombardy Road
An unknown suspect contacted the victim via telephone and falsely represented themselves as a representative of a banking institution. The victim disclosed their banking account password, and the suspect conducted an unauthorized wire transfer in the amount of $7,500.00 from the victim’s account. This investigation is ongoing.

10:03 AM / Documentation / 1100 Block of Oxford Road
A report was taken to document a Trespass Authorization form.

2:13 PM / Vehicle Burglary / 1200 Block of Garfield Avenue
Unknown suspect(s) unlawfully accessed the victim’s vehicle, removed property, and fled the scene in an unknown direction. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area to identify potential witnesses and recover any available security camera footage. This investigation is ongoing.

2:26 PM / Financial Fraud / 2700 Block of Carlaris Road
Unknown suspect(s) unlawfully opened and authorized a bank account using the victim’s personal identifying information without consent. The victim reported they did not authorize the creation or use of this account. This investigation is ongoing.

4:22 PM / Documentation / San Gabriel Boulevard / Huntington Drive
A courtesy report was taken to assist the California Highway Patrol with a traffic collision.

6:06 PM / Theft / 2800 Block of Lombardy Road
An unknown suspect unlawfully stole a package from the victim’s residence. The suspect was described as a heavy-set Hispanic male wearing a blue jacket. The suspect exited a white SUV, removed the package, and fled the scene in an unknown direction. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area to identify potential witnesses and recover any available security camera footage. This investigation is ongoing.


Saturday, January 17, 2026
4:41 AM / DUI / Monterey Road / El Molino Avenue
Officers responded to a call for service regarding a vehicle blocking the roadway. Upon arrival, officers located the driver seated in the vehicle, which was running, and the driver appeared to be asleep. During contact, the driver was observed to be exhibiting objective signs and symptoms of intoxication. Michael James Teasley (D.O.B. 06/05/1977, Upland) was arrested and booked at Pasadena City Jail.
