Tessa Kackstetter dominated the net and Sydney Park and Chloe Wang took care of the hitting as San Marino High School’s girls’ varsity volleyball team opened Rio Hondo League play with a 3-1 victory over Monrovia in a home match. Aubrey Wending played outstanding defense to pace San Marino.
San Marino tallied set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 23-25 and 25-19 to dispatch the Wildcats.
With the win, the Lady Titans improved to 8-6 overall while evening their League mark at 1-1. San Marino hosted Temple City on Thursday. San Marino hosts South Pasadena on Tuesday, October 3 in a key Rio Hondo League match.
