The San Marino Unified School District today announced the hiring of Dr. Benjamin Wolf as the principal of San Marino High School. Wolf’s leadership and extensive educational background make him an outstanding addition to our school community, according to Superintendent Linda de la Torre.

Wolf earned his Ed.D. from the University of Southern California (USC), where he honed his expertise in educational leadership. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree from the University of California, Irvine.

For the past seven years, Wolf served as the principal of Glendale High School, where he made significant strides in fostering an environment conducive to academic excellence and personal growth.

Prior to his tenure at Glendale High, Wolf held the principal position at Anaheim Union High School District, and earlier in his career, he served as Principal of the Orange County School of the Arts.

Wolf has made significant contributions to the areas of Arts, Career Technical Education (CTE), and Athletic programs, recognizing their invaluable impact on a holistic education. His commitment to student success and emphasis on student voice has earned him the reputation of an empowering and engaged educational leader.

We are confident that Wolf’s appointment as principal will herald a new era of growth and excellence for San Marino High School, said de la Torre. “His passion for education, coupled with his ability to inspire and lead, will undoubtedly have a transformative impact on our students and the entire school community.”

Wolf replaces Jason Kurtenbach, who departed for the Redondo Beach school district.
