Actor, singer, designer, mother, and longtime Pasadena resident Rebecca King Crews will open her flagship location featuring her collection of women’s tuxedos, suits, shoes, handbags, accessories and cosmetics at 52 Hugus Alley in Old Pasadena. The store will open on Friday, October 11 and is a pop-up within the Bokaos Salon.
The inspiration for the REBECCA CREWS Collection came when Rebecca was unable to find an outfit for her 30th anniversary with husband, actor, artist, activist and Host of America’s Got Talent Terry Crews. She put together an outfit for the evening with pieces from three designers which, while lovely, was not worthy of the event. Soon after, Rebecca designed six tuxedo ensembles in black, cream and white that could be worn formally or informally and the REBECCA CREWS Collection was born.
Rebecca’s designs have been worn at the Golden Globe Awards, the Emmy’s, the Night Before the Emmy’s party, Gladys Knight’s 75th birthday celebration and the People’s Choice Awards. Musicians and actors who have worn her designs include Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Rowland, Geena Davis, Avril Lavigne and Garcelle Beauvais.
The collection is designed to outfit the woman who is strong, feminine, and powerful. Classic, yet on the cusp of modernism and flair. She and her team utilize the most refined workmanship and expert tailoring to create a fabulously feminine fit– careful to present clothing that’s fashionable and functional.
Rebecca has made a name for herself as the famed R&B singer with a twist of a neo-soul. She and Terry have five children and reside in Pasadena.
REBECCA CREWS will be open Monday through Thursday from 10:00am to 7:00pm; Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Sunday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
