
That is the name of the sophomore on San Marino High School’s junior varsity football team, but last Wednesday afternoon it was also probably the objective of Monrovia High School’s jayvee team.
Mena scored five touchdowns in San Marino’s 35-8 victory so the Wildcats spent a great deal of time unsuccessfully “chasing Mena” at Titan Stadium.
He also scored twice on punt returns and another on a “pick six” interception return. Defensively he also made four tackles and on offense, he made four pass receptions, two of which went for scores. This season, Mena scored 15 total touchdowns for the Titans’ junior varsity squad. Mena made quite an impression on the varsity coaching staff, which bumped him up to varsity for the final two games of the season.
