Organized by Lexipol with partners like Police1, it offers webinars, training, and wellness resources to address stress, build resilience, and support long-term health and career readiness.
Wellness & Safety Tips
- Prioritize Sleep: Maintain a consistent sleep schedule when possible and create a dark, quiet environment to improve rest and recovery.
- Stay Physically Active: Incorporate regular exercise, including strength and cardiovascular training, to reduce injury risk and improve overall performance.
- Manage Stress Effectively: Utilize healthy coping strategies such as mindfulness, controlled breathing, or peer support to address daily stressors.

Traffic Enforcement
Traffic enforcement is guided by three (3) primary categories:
- Community-generated traffic complaints
- Officer-observed violations
- Analysis of traffic collision data
The Department maintains and regularly updates a comprehensive list of locations identified through traffic complaints and collision data to inform and prioritize enforcement efforts. As part of our traffic collision investigations, we also assess contributing factors that may have played a role in the incident. These factors may include distracted driving, roadway engineering, and environmental conditions.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a violation of CVC §24252(a)(1) – Inoperable Vehicle Lighting. A records check revealed the driver had one (1) outstanding warrant issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Altadena Division. Keenan La Juan Phillips (D.O.B. 12/04/1999, Altadena) was issued an Own Recognizance citation and released in the field without incident.

10:48 AM / Trespass / 1700 Block of Virginia Road
Officers responded to a report of a disruptive subject at the location. Upon arrival, the subject was not located. The individual later returned and continued to engage in disruptive behavior. Officers re-responded and contacted the person who was uncooperative and refused to leave the premises. A private person’s arrest was made, and trespass documentation was completed. The subject is in violation of PC §602(m) – Trespassing. Vanessa Kay Decristo (D.O.B. 04/04/1962, Los Angeles) was arrested and booked at Pasadena City Jail.
6:21 PM / Identity Theft / 1400 Block of Rubio Drive
Victim reported unauthorized activity involving a car insurance account. The victim observed a charge from an authorized car insurance company posted to their bank account. The victim received correspondence from the same company regarding a recently opened account. Upon contacting the car insurance company, the victim was informed that the account in question had been previously closed. This investigation remains ongoing.

Officers responded to a report of an individual asleep at a stop sign, obstructing a lane of travel. Upon arrival, officers observed the driver slumping over the steering wheel in the driver’s seat. The vehicle was running with the transmission in drive. Officers unlocked the vehicle, placed it in park, and turned off the engine for safety. The driver exhibited pronounced signs of intoxication and a large, opened alcoholic container was observed in the cup holder within reach of the driver. The driver is in violation of CVC §23152 – Driving Under the Influence. Dustin Jamesgrigory Washburne (D.O.B. 12/31/1997, Woodland Hills) was arrested and booked at Pasadena City Jail.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a violation of CVC §22450 (a) – Running a Stop Sign. A records check revealed the driver had one (1) outstanding felony warrant issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Century Division. Brandon E. Mejia Zaldivar (D.O.B. 03/28/1995, Los Angeles) was arrested and booked at Pasadena City Jail.

Party #1 was traveling South on Oxford Road and collided with Party #2’s parked vehicle. Party #2’s vehicle was occupied at the time of the collision. Both vehicles sustained damage and were towed from the scene. The primary collision factor is CVC §21800 – Failed to Yield.

Victim reported they were contacted by a fraudulent privately held global financial services company. The suspect allegedly convinced the victim to grant remote access to their computer. 1:15 PM / Aggravated Assault / Los Robles Avenue / Monterey Road
Victim conducted a business transaction with the suspect involving computer equipment. During the exchange, the suspect provided counterfeit currency and took possession of the victim’s equipment. The suspect then entered their vehicle and accelerated away from the scene. The victim attempted to intervene by standing in front of the vehicle and requesting the return of the equipment. The suspect continued to accelerate, prompting the victim to jump onto the hood of the vehicle. The suspect drove several blocks before reversing, causing the victim to fall onto the roadway. The suspect fled the scene. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area to identify potential witnesses and recover any available security camera footage. This investigation remains ongoing.
1:23 PM / Residential Burglary / 2200 Block of Lorain Road
Officers responded to a reported residential burglary. An unknown suspect gained entry through the front door; a rear window was found slightly ajar with the screen pried open, indicating possible additional access. Multiple rooms within the residence were ransacked. The suspect was described as a male wearing a maroon sweatshirt and dark-colored pants, last observed walking in the rear yard and driveway. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area to identify potential witnesses and recover any available security camera footage. This investigation remains ongoing.
11:22 PM / Incident Report / 2800 Block of Monterey Road
Victim reported that they had been communicating with the suspect over an extended period and had previously sent money to the suspect. The victim stated that they later received a call from an unknown number in which the caller demanded additional funds. During the call, the threats escalated in severity, causing the victim to fear for their personal safety. This investigation remains ongoing.
