The initiative emphasizes that driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is illegal, dangerous, and will result in strict consequences.
Safety Tips
Here are a few safety tips for Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over:
- Plan Ahead: Designate a sober driver before drinking.
- Use Alternatives: Call a taxi, rideshare, or use public transportation if impaired.
- Look Out for Others: Stop friends or family from driving under the influence.
- Report Impaired Drivers: Call 911 if you see a suspected drunk or drugged driver.
- Remember: Buzzed driving is still drunk driving, don’t risk it.

A report was taken to document medical assistance with the San Marino Fire Department.
10:09 AM / Prowling / 1900 Block of Los Robles Avenue
Victim reported that an unknown suspect attempted to enter their residence through the locked front door. Officers arrived on scene and detained the suspect. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the suspect was in possession of a bag containing over ten (10) pieces of mail addressed to multiple residences within the City of San Marino. The suspect was in violation of PC §647(i) – Prowling and PC §496 – Possession of Stolen Property. A records check revealed that the suspect had three (3) outstanding warrants from Los Angeles Police Department, Burbank Police Department, and San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department. Savanna Elizabeth Frances (D.O.B. 04/20/1996, Norwalk) was arrested and booked at Pasadena City Jail.
12:02 PM / Elder Abuse / 2700 Block of Gainsborough Drive
Victim reported that the suspect forcibly took possession of the victim’s vehicle key fob during a physical altercation. During the struggle, the suspect managed to gain control of the key fob and entered the vehicle. As the suspect reversed the vehicle out of the garage, they ran over the victim’s foot, causing the victim to fall to the ground. Casien Clover Bys Clougherty (DOB: 11/15/1993, San Marino) was arrested and booked at Pasadena City Jail.
5:07 PM / Traffic Collision / Huntington Drive / Palomar Road
Party #1 was traveling North on Blackstone Road and Party #2 was traveling East on Huntington Drive. Party #1 executed a right turn from Blackstone Road onto Huntington Drive and attempted to make an immediate left turn onto Palomar Road, crossing multiple lanes of traffic on Huntington Drive. During this maneuver, Party #1 made an unsafe lane change and sideswiped Party #2. As a result of the collision, both vehicles lost control and collided with the center median. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The primary collision factor was CVC §22107 – Unsafe Lane Changes.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a violation. A search of the suspect’s vehicle was conducted, which resulted in the discovery of bolt cutters, multiple screwdrivers, shimming tools, and a controlled substance. A records check revealed the driver was unlicensed in violation of CVC §12500(a) – Driving Without a License and was currently on probation for burglary. Jose Carlos Zamora (D.O.B. 06/17/1980, Los Angeles) was arrested and booked at Pasadena City Jail.
10:59 AM / Identity Theft / 2500 Block of Mission Street
Victim reported receiving an email from an unknown suspect who impersonated the victim’s identity. The suspect requested payment of attorney fees in the total amount of $10,000.00. This investigation remains ongoing.

8:13 AM / Incident Report / Huntington Drive / San Marino Avenue
Officers conducted a traffic stop for a violation of CVC §23123.5(a) – Handheld Wireless Telephone. A records check revealed the driver had one (1) outstanding warrant from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, for a total amount of $5,000.00. Lamar Deshawn Moore (D.O.B. 12/20/1984, West Covina) was issued an Own Recognizance citation and released in the field without incident.
9:50 AM / Traffic Collision / San Marino Avenue / Lorain Road
Party #1 was traveling North on San Marino Avenue and Party #2 was traveling East on Lorain Road. Party #2 made a complete stop at the posted stop sign before proceeding. Party #1 failed to make a complete stop at the posted stop sign and collided with Party #2 within the intersection. The primary collision factor was CVC §22450 – Running Stop Sign.

11:13 AM / Incident Report / San Gabriel Boulevard / Gainsborough Drive
Officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. A records check revealed the driver had one (1) outstanding warrant from California Highway Patrol in violation of CVC §14601.1(a) – Driving on a Suspended License, for a total amount of $26,000.00. Mauricio Palmero Casillas (D.O.B. 12/30/1995, Tujunga) was issued an Own Recognizance citation and released in the field without incident.
2:41 PM / Identity Theft / 1200 Block of Roanoke Road
Victim reported that an unknown suspect fraudulently opened a bank account in the State of Delaware utilizing the victim’s personal identity without authorization. This investigation remains ongoing.
3:55 PM / Robbery / 1000 Block of Encino Drive
Victim reported that a burgundy SUV with no license plates was observed circling the location. An unknown suspect inside the vehicle brandished a handgun at landscaping workers in an attempt to steal gardening equipment from their vehicle. The victims fled on foot in fear of their safety. The suspect discharged two (2) rounds from the handgun before fleeing the area. This investigation remains ongoing.
5:35 PM / Hit and Run / 2300 Block of Huntington Drive
Party #2 reported that their vehicle was parked at the location when it was sideswiped by Party #1’s vehicle. Party #1 fled the scene without providing identifying information.
5:51 PM / Identity Theft / 1600 Block of El Molino Avenue
Victim reported receiving a phone call from an unknown suspect who claimed the victim’s passports were located in lost luggage. Upon further investigation, it was determined the phone call was fraudulent and part of a scam attempt. This investigation remains ongoing.

7:32 AM / Traffic Collision / Ridgeway Road / Huntington Drive
Party #1 was stopped in their vehicle along the West curb of Ridgeway Road. Party #2 was traveling North on Ridgeway Road, when Party #1 entered the North lane of travel. As a result, Party #1’s vehicle collided with Party #2’s vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The primary collision factor was CVC §22107 – Unsafe Lane Changes.
9:08 AM / Theft / 1400 Block of San Marino Avenue
Victim reported a theft involving the unlawful taking of multiple power and hand tools from their vehicle. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a white 2012 Mercedes with a black hardtop and aftermarket rims. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area to locate potential witnesses and obtain additional security camera footage. This investigation remains ongoing.

Victim reported a theft involving the unlawful taking of multiple power and hand tools from their vehicle. At the time of the incident, the victim’s vehicle was parked in the driveway of their residence. 7:20 AM / Incident Report / 2900 Block of Gainsborough Drive
Victim reported they arrived at their residence and observed two (2) suspects in the front yard near the pedestrian gate. Upon contact, the suspects stated they had entered the residence to obtain water before leaving the residence. One suspect was described as wearing a green checkered flannel shirt and a large straw hat. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area to locate potential witnesses and obtain additional security camera footage. This investigation remains ongoing.

Victim reported a theft involving the unlawful taking of personal belongings from their vehicle. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area to locate potential witnesses and obtain additional security camera footage. This investigation remains ongoing.
