The San Marino High School Girls Varsity Tennis team remain undefeated 7-0 (5-0 league) so far in the season.
They had resounding wins against South Pasadena (18-0) on 10/3/23 and Monrovia (17-1) on 10/5/23. Against South Pasadena, singles players Katie-Lynn Hoang, Carina Yang, and Kate Chung each won all 3 of their matches. In doubles, the pairs of Selene Yung and Audrey Ranabargar, Olivia Hsu and Sarah Tran, and Angela Wang and Kate Chung also each won all 3 of their matches.
Against Monrovia, San Marino won 102 out of the 106 total games played over the 17 matches with San Marino’s Carina Yang, substitute Emily Xue, and the doubles team of Katie-Lynn Hoang and Sarah Tran, substitutes Taylor and Alexa Hong, Olivia Hsu and Kate Chung, and Audrey Ranabargar and Selene Yung all winning their combined 12 matches with scores of 6-0! Singles player Mia Lin won all 3 of her matches, dropping only 2 games in total and singles Angela Wang won 2 matches before retiring in the final match due to an injury.
