National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week (NDAFW) is an annual observance that educates youth on the science of drug use, addiction, and alcohol, dispelling myths with evidence-based information. Law enforcement collaborates with educators, health professionals, and community organizations to host events and outreach promoting safe, informed choices. The initiative also provides resources and programs that support healthy coping skills and strengthen community awareness, highlighting the role of public safety in prevention.

Traffic Enforcement
Traffic enforcement is guided by three (3) primary categories:

  1. Community-generated traffic complaints
  2. Officer-observed violations
  3. Analysis of traffic collision data

The Department maintains and regularly updates a comprehensive list of locations identified through traffic complaints and collision data to inform and prioritize enforcement efforts. As part of our traffic collision investigations, we also assess contributing factors that may have played a role in the incident. These factors may include distracted driving, roadway engineering, and environmental conditions.

4:33 PM / Theft / 500 Block of Huntington Drive
Victim reported that an unknown suspect removed a package from their front porch and fled the area on a dark-colored bicycle traveling West on Huntington Drive. The suspect was described as a heavyset male wearing dark blue pants and a blue hooded sweatshirt and carrying a gray lunch pail. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area to identify potential witnesses and recover any available security camera footage. This investigation is ongoing.

1:53 PM / Traffic Collision / Huntington Drive / San Marino Avenue
Party #1 was traveling North on San Marino Avenue, while Party #2 was traveling West on Huntington Drive. Party #1 failed to stop for a red traffic signal and entered the intersection, where they collided with Party #2. The primary collision factor is CVC §21453 – Running a Red Light.


Wednesday, March 11, 2026
9:12 AM / Traffic Collision / Huntington Drive / Garfield Avenue
Party #1 was traveling East on Huntington Drive, while Party #2 was traveling North on Garfield Avenue. Party #1 collided with Party #2 at the intersection. Party #1’s vehicle was towed away from the scene. The primary collision factor is CVC §21453 – Running a Red Light.

2:47 PM / Traffic Collision / California Boulevard / Bonita Avenue
Party #2 was traveling East on California Boulevard, with Party #1 traveling directly behind. Party #1 collided with the rear of Party #2’s vehicle and then fled the scene without stopping to exchange information. The primary collision factor is CVC §20002(a) – Hit and Run.

5:58 PM / Found Property / 2200 Huntington Drive
A report was taken to document the recovery of a found smartphone.

3:53 AM / Prowling / 2600 Block of Mission Street
An unknown subject tampered with the exterior cameras at a commercial property and left a tarp on the west side of the location, which leads to the rear of the property. The suspect was described as wearing a green hoodie. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area to identify potential witnesses and recover any available security camera footage. This investigation is ongoing.
