The Department maintains and regularly updates a comprehensive list of locations identified through traffic complaints and collision data to inform and prioritize enforcement efforts. As part of our traffic collision investigations, we also assess contributing factors that may have played a role in the incident. These factors may include distracted driving, roadway engineering, and environmental conditions.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for violation of CVC §22450 – Running Stop Sign. A records check revealed the driver had two (2) outstanding warrants from Glendale Police Department in violation of CVC §23110(a) – Throwing an Object at a Motor Vehicle, and PC §594(a) – Vandalism, for a total amount of $30,000.00. Shanarron Renee Narcisse Thomas (D.O.B. 09/21/1980, San Marino) was issued an Own Recognizance citation and released in the field without incident.

10:35 AM / Petty Theft / 1900 Block of Los Robles Avenue
Victim reported the unlawful taking of equipment from their vehicle. Unknown suspects removed equipment from the vehicle and fled the area in an unknown direction. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area to locate potential witnesses and obtain additional security camera footage. The investigation remains ongoing.
4:59 PM / Residential Burglary / 800 Block of Palomar Road
Officers responded to a report of a residential burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that unknown suspect(s) had gained entry through an unlocked rear sliding door and ransacked the guest room and master bedroom. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area to identify potential witnesses and recover any available security camera footage. This investigation remains ongoing.
5:05 PM / Petty Theft / 1300 Block of Bedford Road
Victim reported the unlawful taking of equipment from the backyard of their residence. Unknown suspect(s) removed equipment and fled the location in an unknown direction. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area to locate potential witnesses and obtain additional security camera footage. This investigation remains ongoing.

A juvenile suspect was arrested for two (2) outstanding no bail warrants out of Long Beach Police Department and Juvenile Probation.

9:12 AM / Traffic Collision / Huntington Drive / Virginia Road
Party #1 was behind Party #2, traveling East on Huntington Drive in the #3 lane and both were stopped at a red traffic signal. Upon the signal turning green, Party #1 proceeded forward and collided with the rear of Party #2’s vehicle. Both parties drove their vehicles away from the scene. The primary collision factor was CVC §21703 – Following Too Closely.

A report was taken to document a family dispute.
5:23 PM / Hit and Run / Los Robles Avenue / Huntington Drive
Party #1 was traveling South on Los Robles Avenue in the #1 lane, while Party #2 was traveling South on Los Robles Avenue in the #2 lane. Party #1 executed a right turn onto Huntington Drive and collided with Party #2’s vehicle. Party #2 failed to stop and exchange information. The primary collision factor was CVC §22107 – Lane Changes and Right/Left Turns.

A report was taken to document an identity theft.
11:28 PM / Prowling / 900 Block of Roxbury Road
Victim reported that an unknown suspect was observed walking onto their property. The suspect entered the property, proceeded down the driveway, and did not appear to enter or attempt to enter the residence. The suspect is described as a Caucasian adult male wearing a black t-shirt, dark pants, slip-on shoes, and a black hat. This investigation remains ongoing.

9:18 AM / Traffic Collison / San Gabriel Boulevard / California Boulevard
Party #1 was making a left turn to travel West onto California Boulevard and failed to yield the right of way to Party #2 (pedestrian), who was within the marked crosswalk. As a result, Party #2 was struck and transported for a medical evaluation. The primary collision factor was CVC §21950 – Failure to Yield to Pedestrian.
10:58 AM / Incident Report / 1000 Block of Encino Drive
Witnesses reported that a vehicle collided with a city fire hydrant. The driver fled the scene but was later located and provided identifying information for documentation.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for violation of CVC §22450 – Running Stop Sign. Upon further investigation, it was determined the driver was in violation for CVC §14601 – Driving with a Suspended Driver License. A records check revealed the driver had one (1) outstanding warrant from Huntington Park Police Department in violation of CVC §20002(a) – Misdemeanor Hit and Run. Crystal Annette Cornejo (D.O.B. 10/17/1996, Los Angeles) was issued an Own Recognizance citation and released in the field without incident.
