The San Marino Motor Classic (SMMC) has announced the debut of its first annual Media Interaction Day, set for Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Lacy Park in San Marino. The event will offer media professionals exclusive early access to many of the show’s prestigious cars and their owners ahead of the main exhibition on Sunday.

Tailored for media professionals—including photographers, videographers, podcasters, journalists, and online personalities—the Media Interaction Day is designed to offer a more intimate, crowd-free environment to capture content and conduct interviews.

“Sunday’s event day is a spectacular affair but can be hectic for anyone hoping to interact with car owners and document the show in depth,” said Joseph Salvo, Chairman of the Car Selection Committee. “This new Saturday event solves that.”

Highlights of Media Interaction Day:

  • Free admission and credentials for all verified media attendees, with early access to Lacy Park.
  • Uncrowded photo and interview opportunities as exhibitors park their cars ahead of Sunday’s showcase.
  • Complimentary box lunches and shaded rest areas for attending media.
  • Free digital photographs of each car and owner, taken by official SMMC photographers and uploaded to the SMMC website.
  • Exclusive photo and interview zones, giving content creators a quiet, distraction-free setting to produce high-quality content.
  • Encouragement of real-time and post-event coverage, with media sharing interviews, photos, and reactions across platforms.

The event will conclude with an Art Expo and Sale from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., which will include complimentary wine, beer, and snacks for attendees.

Media professionals interested in participating must RSVP by Saturday, August 16, to ensure proper credentialing at the gate. Attendance on Saturday does not grant access to Sunday’s event, which is expected to draw large crowds and feature class judging.
